This past weekend I was able to visit my home town, Bulli, for the first time in over 7 years. It's the first time I've been back without a home nearby so it was a bit odd - I felt for the first time that it wasn't really mine any more. Still, it is beautiful and I'm eternally grateful for the chance to grow up there!

My parents are moving to South Australia so I made them this little housewarming gift 🎁 Sturt's Desert Pea is the floral emblem of the state and I wanted to try something new.

A lovely colleague recently lost her best bud Max so I wanted to try and paint him for her ❤️ Done in watercolour and gouache (think I just used gouache for black and white). I had been itching to do something arty but didn't have the motivation until I had someone to make for. Not sure what that says about my creative practice 😏
